Attr. Eren Özbalkan

Attorney Eren Özbalkan, who joined the Gürkan & Gürkan Advocates and Legal Advisers family in 2015, provides support to multinational as well as domestic clients in the fields of corporate law, civil law, intellectual property rights law and criminal law. Attorney Eren Özbalkan provides services on various cross-border mergers and acquisitions, privatization and cooperation projects. He further works on cases within the Northern Republic of Cyprus involving automotive, tourism, real estate and construction, founding of corporations and businesses, as well as preparation of contracts involving business transactions, subcontracting, and, particularly, construction purchase and sales agreements and related matters.

With his experience in the tourism and entertainment sectors, Eren Özbalkan plays an active role in the preparation of contracts as part of the investments of the world’s foremost hotel brands in Turkey and the related franchise and hotel management operations.

Prior to his career at Gürkan & Gürkan Advocates and Legal Advisers, Mr. Özbalkan gained significant experience in international arbitrations and served as legal advisor in various phases of arbitration cases governed by UNCITRAL, ICC and ICSID arbitration rules.
