International Transportation License Granted to TRNC Vehicles

In the decision taken by the Republic of Turkey Presidential Office on 18/12/2018, it was announced that the vehicles with TRNC number plates were authorized to be transported to Turkey by railway, sea or air and thereby to third countries by road within the quota to be annually determined by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. The aforementioned decision was published in the Official Gazette dated 18/12/2018 and entered into force from then on.

Civil Procedures Act and the Regulation Amendment: Execution of Debt
Once a court order has been made for the payment of a debt, there are now wider options for recovering that debt. If the provision is for the payment of money, the enforcement officer may collect this debt as well as all the costs incurred as a result of the delay in payment, from the debtor in cash or by credit card, and the debtor can pay this debt in up to 4 installments, once the execution is filed.

Current Situation Regarding Residence Permits
Some foreign nationals with an expired permit with illegal status, had to leave the country urgently for various reasons including university education, death of a member of family, medical treatment, etc. and could not return to the TRNC. Some amendments have been made to the existing law under the right of family reunification.

Famagusta-Iskele-Yenibogaziçi Master Plan Completed
Since the Master Plan covers 14% of the TRNC surface area, it is natural to expect a serious impact under a single plan. The bill envisions to provide uninterrupted access to the 40-kilometer coastline, transforming the Famagusta Freight Port into a marina and cruise port, making arrangements to increase the quality of life of the people living in the region by preserving ecological life, and creating an individual trade center for each region.

Regulation on Drug Convicts
A Protocol was signed on the Community Reintegration Project for Individuals in Prison for Drug Charges. The signing ceremony took place at the Prime Minister's Office, with the participation of Hasan Karaokçu, the President of the Anti-Drug Commission (UMK) established on 18/11/2014 and operating under the Prime Ministry, the Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman and the Minister of Interior, Ayşegül Baybars.
